Cobá is like an underground kind of site: In the middle of the jungle, with a magnificent view, well preserved ruins and a magical atmosphere. You will have a visit to an authentic Mayan village with a small Zoo, a traditional meal at a Mayan House and a refreshing swim at the “Multun-Ha” Cenote, a natural pool with pristine water. Not the typical tour at all.
Formerly, Cobá was one of the most important cities for the Mayan Culture, their territory controlled even the port of what now is Xel-Ha. A road made of Sacbé (a regional sand used for construction) connects the city with other important places, one of them is Chichen Itzá. The Mayans used to walk among those cities.
This is a much better experience than a regular bus tour – smaller, more personal and much more rewarding!
